Summer Creations was started in 1998 by Karen and I. After realizing that there were no activities for crafty kids, we came up with the concept - a place where kids can go and explore their creativity and meet new friends. Surrounded by trees, looking over the lake, we found the perfect location, Bannockburn Community Church in Bala.
Soon afterwards my sister, Allie was involved too becoming an absolutely essential part Summer Creations. This summer, one of my friends who I met at Art School (NSCAD in Halifax, NS) will be working with us to make this summer the best ever! Tara Gilchrist is a potter, who will be teaching Classes on Monday's with different themes throughout the summer, as well as private classes in Dorset
Now, 7 summers later, we offer tons more programs, and have met some of the coolest kids on the lake. Thanks for coming and supporting us, we are possibly the luckiest girls in the world to be able to work at a job we LOVE.
